One of the best things about the Olympics is discovering new sports you’d never heard of before, or learning which new sports are now included (this year, it’s breakdancing). Everyone who tuned into the shooting events this week made a similarly exciting discovery: Olympic shooting looks cool as hell. Specifically, everyone involved looks like characters from a futuristic dystopian hellscape thanks to their glasses, and if that weren’t cool enough, they’ve got guns.

Seriously, nobody else could ever hope of looking as cool as these guys do while shooting — not even John Wick. People were particularly into South Korea Kim Ye-ji’s look; with her black jacket, backwards black cap, and black glasses, she really does look like something straight out of The Matrix. She even managed to take home a silver medal in the event, with her roommate and friend taking home the gold.

For those wondering, the glasses are crucial for ensuring accuracy, and contain three elements — a lens, a mechanical iris and blinders — that work together to allow shooters to more easily focus on both their gun’s sights and their target at the same time.

China is currently leading in the shooting events, having won three gold medals, their first at the Paris Olympics, in shooting. The shooting events consist of a variety of distances (10 meters, 25 meters and 50 meters) as well as types of guns, including air rifles, air pistols and skeet shooting.

I think it’s safe to say that it’s only a matter of time before someone incorporates their look into a video game. Fortnite skin, anyone?
